Friday Option

An Opportunity on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN.

The Friday Option has been specifically designed for students who would like to complete the Master of Library Science degree and attend classes only one day a week.

Under the Friday Option program, students attend 2 classes per Friday during the fall and spring semesters and 1 all-day class each Friday during each summer session to complete the degree requirements in approximately 2 years. The courses scheduled are designed to provide the student with a solid, well-rounded MLS degree. Students with a strong specialty preference may wish, and are welcome, to take certain classes outside of the Friday Option framework.

The Friday Option has proven to be an excellent method of obtaining an MLS. Many of the students involved live in distant areas of the state or in nearby states and work full time while completing the degree.
