Personal Essay Questions

The Departmental Questions are the guidelines for writing the Personal Goals Essay. You only need one essay.

Applicants are encouraged to discuss any of the following in their personal statement essay and to extend the essay to 1500 words if necessary:

• In what manner do you see yourself as a future leader in your professional library service career?
• What examples can you provide that illustrate how you work as a constructive member of a team to solve problems and make services more efficient and effective?
• Describe how you see yourself as a professional who contributes to the educational and civic service environment of your community.
