How can I change my status to be an Indiana resident?
Students initially classified as non-residents who have since lived in Indiana for twelve months and believe themselves otherwise eligible for resident status will need to submit an Application for Classification as a Resident Student with the IUPUI Office of the Registrar. For more information about changing residency status, please visit the Registrars Residency page at http://registrar.iupui.edu/resident.html.
Where do I buy my books?
Links to campus and other bookstores can be found on the Indianapolis Student Survival Wiki.
What kinds of financial aid are available?
Several graduate assistantships are offered each year for MLS students. These involve working in the IUPUI Main Library or the School of Library and Information Science. Each assistantship allows for tuition remission and are awarded to both instate and out-of-state students. Contact Melanie Hollcraft (meacole@iupui.edu or 317-278-2375) for application deadlines.
Many professional library associations offer scholarships. See the Professional Associations, Scholarships and Awards for ideas.
